What is Rotary?
Rotary is a leadership organization. We’re made up of local business, professional and civic leaders. We meet regularly, get to know each other, form friendships, and through that, we’re able to get things done in our community.
What is expected of members?
Members are encouraged to attend meetings on a regular basis. Fellowship at our weekly meetings is the fabric of the Club that keeps us active in the community and successful with our service projects.
Members serve on at least two committees and regularly participate in committee projects. Time commitment varies by committee and member interests.
Members are expected to contribute financially to the Club and our local Rotary Foundation, and they pay annual membership dues.
How do I become a Rotarian?
Visit us! Membership is by invitation; your sponsoring Rotarian will invite you to lunch and if, after a few visits you wish to join the Club, your application for membership will be submitted to the members for acceptance.
Reach out to us at info@rotaryclubofsalem.com and you’ll be connected with someone who can help.
How to I pay membership related expenses?
The easiest way to pay membership related expenses (e.g. dues, lunches, events) is by means of the PayPal form embedded on the Member Expenses page. On the payment form you can indicate what they payment is for (e.g. current year membership dues) and specify an amount. If you are looking to make a donation to the Rotary Foundation, please use this link instead.
