F.A.Q.

What is Rotary?

Rotary International, now more than 100 years old, is the world’s first service club organization. The 1.2 million men and women of Rotary are business and professional leaders dedicated to making a difference in communities around the world through the credo “Service Above Self.” Members are volunteers who work on both local and international projects to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace and eradicate polio. With Rotary, it’s easy to be active and make a difference. Whether your interests lie in education, mentoring youth, clean water, healthcare, economic development, peace initiatives or a number of community service projects, there is always something to do.

What do I do if I want to join – or attend a meeting?

We would love to have you attend a meeting to see if Downtown Rotary is the right club for you! If you know a current member, please ask them if you can attend as their guest. If you don’t know anyone, email our secretary, Holly Berry, at hberry@comcast.net and let her know you’d like to attend. If membership seems like the right path for you, our Membership chair will line up a sponsor and club mentor for you.
