April 16th – Nursing Workforce Shortage, Anna Hilts
The healthcare industry faces a critical shortage of nurses and other professionals, a challenge that has only intensified since the pandemic. To address this issue at the local level, Willamette Valley Medical Center, in partnership with McMinnville Economic Development Partnership and others, has launched innovative programs to strengthen the regional workforce. These include an LPN-to-RN apprenticeship program, a 12-month Nurse Residency program, and
a paid internship program designed to cultivate professionals in other areas of healthcare
Learn from Anna Hilts, BSN, RN, as she showcases these transformative initiatives and discusses their profound impact on the local community.
