I am very excited this week to welcome an international visitor from Haiti, Lavaud Cheristin. Lavaud is a member of a local Rotary Club in Haiti. Due to a personal connection with club member Cynthia Witham’s family, Lavaud has been a dependable partner in finishing a large well and latrine project in earthquake-devastated Haiti. Our Club contributed in a major way to the completion of this project. As with so many successful ventures in Rotary, it takes the passion and personal investment of a few outstanding individuals – together with the power of Rotary – to accomplish great things…Join us as we hear from Lavaud and the Port-au-Prince Rotary Club president!
