July 24th marks the day Nigeria has passed one year with no new cases of the wild polio virus. This is the longest the country has ever gone without a case of polio. If all continues to go well, the World Health Organization may be able to remove Nigeria from the list of polio-endemic nations in September of this year. But, we must keep up the effort!
