President’s Message

Honoring Our Veterans

On Veterans’ Day, we pause to reflect on the dedication, sacrifice, and courage of those who have served in our nation’s armed forces. Our club takes great pride in honoring veterans, not only for their service in defending our freedoms but also for their continued contributions to our communities.  At our meeting on November 13, we’ll hear about how the National Guard is defending these freedoms across the globe.

Veterans’ Day is more than a tribute to those who wore the uniform; it’s a reminder of the values they exemplify–loyalty, duty, and a profound commitment to others. These are values we, as Rotarians, recognize in our own mission of “Service Above Self.” Many veterans within our Rotary community bring the same dedication and resilience they practiced in service to their ongoing work with us, providing a source of inspiration for all.

Our club is honored to count veterans among our members, and we are proud of the impact they continue to make as leaders, mentors, and volunteers. On Veterans’ Day, let’s take a moment to recognize and thank the veterans in our lives and in our community, celebrating not only their military service but their commitment to the ideals that Rotarians hold dear.

For those of us who have loved ones who continue to serve in our armed forces today, we recognize the strength and courage it takes to support those in active duty, often with uncertain separations and challenges. Let us offer them our gratitude and unwavering support.
