8/19/26 Anna Caldwell – Joy of Living Assistance Dogs

What is involved in training a dog to become an all-important service companion?

Anna Caldwell of Joy of Living Assistance Dogs (JLAD) will describe the process her organization uses to prepare a dog to provide support to those who can benefit from such assistance.

Come meet Wyla, the dog that inspired this program and see other dogs in various staging of training. Please note: This meeting could be fun for children and grandchildren but it’s important that they ask permission before petting any of the dogs.

President’s Message

I’m excited to see you tomorrow at our annual club meeting at the park under the Rotary Pavilion roof. It is looking to be a perfect day for it!

Call me crazy, but I’d love to see everyone in their Rotary Club of Salem t-shirt! These are the blue shirts with gold lettering, “Rotarian at Work” on the back, and were recently passed around at a meeting. If you don’t have one yet, there will be shirts there in all sizes for you to choose from.

I’m imagining we will look like we’re attending a family reunion! Or is my family the only one that made all the cousins wear the same shirts?
