The Rotary Club of Salem invites non-profit organizations and educators to apply for the Club’s 2026 Literacy Grants.

Funds are available for projects or existing programs, submitted by non-profit organizations or educators, that promote increased literacy and/or reading skills for children and the community within Salem and Marion and Polk Counties. Literacy projects proposed by international non-profit organizations will also be considered.

We are accepting applications for projects ranging from $500 to $2500. Applications must be received by no later than 6:00PM, Thursday, October 8, 2026.

Examples of purposes for which grants are typically made include augmenting existing libraries, purchase of native and/or non-native language focused books, literacy-focused events and equipment or supplies for literacy development. See the application guidelines for more details.
