Today we will honor outgoing President David Deckleman and welcome incoming President Allison Kelly as well as several new 2023-2024 board members.

Program Chair: Allison Kelly

Meeting Location: Willamette Heritage Center Dye Room

President’s Message
Rotarians,

This week we will be back at the Willamette Heritage Center, upstairs in the spinning room.  Our very own Past District Governor, Renee Campbell will be heading up our annual officer’s installation program.  We will be treated to a “free” lunch thanks to our board of directors.

I would like to personally thank, Immediate Past President Chane Griggs, Community Needs Director Justin Tyler, and Public Image Director Pam Wasson for all the countless hours they have spent volunteering to help make our club what it is today.

Larry Konick is also stepping down from the Salem Rotary Foundation Board.

One of the honors I have had being your club president this year is going to see the good work we do in the community.  This past week I had the honor and privilege to go to the ribbon cutting of the Discovery Village. They were our major grant recipient two years ago.  The new playground is truly amazing.

Here Alishia Bay, the Executive Director of the Gilbert House Children’s Museum and I pose in front of the sign recognizing Rotary’s contribution.
As I sit here putting this note together, I realized that this will be my last time addressing all of you in this capacity.  It has been a tremendous honor to be your club president. The job was bigger than I imagined, but it also was much more rewarding than I thought. We have an amazing club filled with amazing people who are always willing to step in and help. I would like to thank each of you for all the help and support you have given me all year.

It’s truly been an honor.

Cheers!

David
