President’s Message

Adjusting to our new home at Broadway Commons

I wanted to give a shout out to you for your patience as we transitioned to our new home at the Broadway Commons for our first meeting in October.  We had a great turnout, and it was cozy!  I heard wonderful conversations and fellowship taking place throughout the room. It reminded me, once again, why I love being a member of our club.

Thank you to everyone who commented on the improved acoustics and ambiance.  And special thanks to Doug Parham, Elise Bauman and Jennifer Mills for helping setup and teardown and figuring out on the spot what might work best.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll continue to make improvements and adjust to the new space.  We have reserved a much larger room for our annual meeting in December and for the installation of our officers in June.  The Grant Room, which is significantly larger, is booked for all but a few dates through February.  We have requested to rent it whenever it is available. It is on the second floor.

There is also a similar sized room in the Main Building across from Broadway Commons, and we have reserved it for upcoming music programs in December and April, which will be chaired by Karl Raschkes.

As I mentioned at our last meeting, Past President Tammy Dennee will be filling in for me this week. I’ll be attending a Maps Credit Union Planning Session for a few days.

Thank you for your membership and for understanding and supporting the need to move to the new location.
