October 23rd – CEO Kim Grewe-Powell and Council Member Vicki Berger – Oregon State Fair Council
The Oregon State Fair Council was created on December 4, 2014 and oversees the Fair and Exposition Center. Their mission is to showcase Oregon products and people; educate and communicate to Oregonians about key industries with emphasis on agriculture, forestry, technology, and manufacturing; and to create an event that celebrates all of Oregon and Oregonians in an atmosphere of responsible community involvement and citizenship.
The exposition center hosts the annual state fair at the end of August through Labor Day and provides a venue for meetings, concerts, trade shows and other events the rest of the year from its location in Salem.

I wanted to thank Renee Campbell for her leadership in the very successful, Shoot for the Moon Event Saturday, October 19 at Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville.
As District 5100 Foundation Chair, Renee also served as Committee Chair for the event and had multiple speaking roles during the evening. As always, Renee spoke with passion and grace, and we are so fortunate to have her representing our club.
While RI President Stephanie Urchick was the keynote speaker, Renee was the highlight of the evening for me.
For those of you who may not know, Renee served as President of our club from 2011-2012; District Governor from 2017-2018, and District International Service Chair from 2019-2023.
Her commitment to Service Above Self is inspiring. She is a Major Donor to the Rotary Foundation and is a member of the Bequest Society, Paul Harris Society and Polio Plus Society. She is a recipient of the Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service and has sponsored 20 members.
Please join me in thanking Renee for all she does for Rotary and our club.
