Traditionally our club has supported the Salvation Army in a couple of ways. We offer to Ring the Bell at the Kohl’s sky bridge and we also invite the SA band to perform before a December program. In case you can’t recognize some of our superstars from last week, they are Jenn, Alena, and Emily!
February 12, 2022 – Good Works Event
This date must find its way to your calendar! Cyndi and her team are planning a wonderful fundraising and fun-raising event at the Grand Ballroom and Theater. Tickets will be $100 per person and that includes Dinner, the oral auction, and a performance at the Grand Theater. You will have the option of purchasing your tickets – ONLINE – after the first of the year.
Meeting Location determined
The Board met last week and one of the decisions was to determine our future meeting location.
Based primarily on the results of the survey we sent earlier, the decision was to remain meeting at the Willamette Heritage Center (WHC). The results show that 82.3% preferred meetings at the WHC and 17.7% preferred the Salem Convention Center (SCC). When asked if you would be willing to pay more to meet at the SCC, the results were 68.4% said no and 31.6% said yes.
We know that acoustics are an issue for many. Ron Rubel made some suggestions on how the speakers are positioned. Chuck will begin the discussions with Michelle who is the Executive Director of the WHC on ways, including Ron’s suggestion, we can improve the acoustics.
No Meeting December 29th
We are taking the week off after Christmas so we’ll be back next year; January 5th will be our next meeting.
