Message from President Chane

Greetings Fellow Rotarians:

During this everchanging time, I want to thank everyone for the grace that has been extended to me and our Rotary Board as we try to navigate these waters. After much discussion, the Board decided that we will continue to meet in person AND record the meetings for those who are not able to attend for any reason. The caveat is that while we are meeting in person, we are also taking precautions such as mandatory masking, per the governor’s order, and socially distancing with only four people at a table.

Our club is joining other area clubs in raising money, by collecting bottles, for the future Vietnam War Memorial that will be placed at Wilson Park – just west of the Capitol. It’s a fairly simple way to support this worthwhile project.

Let me know if you are interested and I will get a blue bottle bag to you. Once you’ve filled it, you can take it to the EZ Drop at any Bottle Drop location. I am also willing to deliver the bottles for you. All of our bottle deposit proceeds are then deposited in the Vietnam War Memorial Fund.

And welcome our two newest members, Jill Munger and Nolan Harris!

Take care,

Chane
