President’s Message

Happy Tuesday Rotarians!

If there is one thing I’ve learned so far from my Rotary president training at the district and international level, it’s that Rotary is Change!

At last week’s Club Meeting, the announcement about changing our meeting location was made. Starting the first week of October, our “home” meeting space will be the Willamette Education Service District (WESD) building on Pringle Road. More information and many reminders will be coming!

This past spring, a committee was formed – the Location Exploration Committee – to see what other meeting spaces were out there and If another location would fit our group better. Area within the city, size of room, AV, sound, technology, storage, parking, and many other items were considered. Moving was not necessarily a reason this committee formed, however after touring the WESD venue, they brought the idea and recommendation of moving there to the club board of directors.

The board discussed, weighed conversations had with club members, and looked at the budget. Then the board voted unanimously to change our meeting venue to WESD and an agreement was signed July 8.

If you have questions, concerns, or comments, please share them with me or anyone on the board.

Looking forward to seeing you at the meeting tomorrow,

President Elise Bauman
