Ken and Barry received this prestigious Rotary award last week. This award honors a Rotarian who has demonstrated humanitarian service with an emphasis on personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping others using their time and energy. Who better to receive this award than Ken and Barry, both of whom put countless hours into the Gerry Frank Salem Rotary Amphitheater?

Renee Campbell, shown in the photo above, went far beyond what is typical of a program chair. ONE week after shoulder surgery, Renee not only chaired the program but also orchestrated all the behind-the-scenes logistics for our august group of visiting Rotarians and she coordinated and presented the Global Scholar awardee, Josh Rogers. And for those of us who at one time in our life wore high heels….Renee, during her introduction of Dominic Meduri, managed to stand on her tip toes for the whole spiel. (to reach the mic)
