Message from President Chane

Greetings Fellow Rotarians:

Last week was our first attempt at a hybrid meeting using Zoom and, for the most part, I think it was successful. Many thanks to Estivel and Kevin from the Boys and Girls Club for sharing their expertise with us. We have the benefit of their expertise for one more week. Although nothing really takes the place of an in-person meeting, we know that especially during Covid, that format does not work for everyone.

I appreciated your patience last week and will rely on that favor in the weeks to come as we learn the ins and outs of zoom hybrid meetings.

I would also encourage those viewing remotely, to text me with any questions you have for the week’s program speaker. And please let me know who you are in the text. I will relay your question and identify the person asking the question. My cell: 503.999.2610

We are excited to announce that the design for our 2022 GoodWorks Event is well underway. With party animal (and soon-to-be Grandma!) Cyndi Leinassar at the planning helm, it’s sure to be a night of fun.

The evening will include the things you know and love about our GoodWorks Event: a very happy Happy Hour, experiential and live auction items, and a delicious dinner. But wait, there’s more! We will cap the evening with Enlightened Theatrics “Cabaret,” starting just after dinner!

“What good is sitting alone in your room? Come hear the music play; Life is a cabaret, old chum. Come to the cabaret!”

For now, save the date: February 12, 2022. Ticket sales and further detail will come out over the next several weeks. Stay tuned!
Take care,

Chane
